Our Pedagogy
An unique approach.
Caring space to be vulnerable about trauma, fears and insecurities.
Compassionate space to practice new leadership skills and behaviors.
Joyful space for individual creative expression and play.
Embodied self devotional practices and exercises.
Immediately useful tools and tactics.
Change starts with individuals.
Each person is microcosm of the organizational collective.
“I am a cell-sized unit of the human organism, and I have to use my life to leverage a shift in the system by how I am, as much as with the things I do. This means actually being in my life, and it means bringing my values into my daily decision making. Each day should be lived on purpose.”
-Adrienne Maree Brown, Emergent Strategy
Coaching Team
Healing meets Strategy.
Our coaching team is composed of therapists, artists and strategists (most of whom are BIPOC and/or queer) who bring together a unique alchemy of psychologically safe space holding, embodied creative expression, and practical leadership strategies.
"Mel from Fairground and I met at the Lesbians Who Tech retreat in Panama. We got to talking about my challenges, and she put together a life-changing, highly-personalized workshop for me the very next day! In that workshop, we created a plan for the rest of the year, and from January to October, we implemented. I have been challenged so much throughout this process. I've grown tenfold as a CEO and a human. As a business, we have zeroed-in on and addressed a series of crucial pain-points. January-me would hardly recognize October-me, but Melissa knew along what I was capable of. Mel exudes kindness and wisdom, knowledge and strength, and I recommend her wholeheartedly. She will continue to be a part of my journey for years to come."
